about

Recorded during 2011 at Jack Straw Productions. I had received a grant from JSP for studio time, which I used to record an early version of what would lead to Trick of the Eye. There were lots of gems within these recordings, but for one reason or another, they have remained in the vault of unreleased material. One of these personal favorite gems is this tune, which also features Lori Goldston on the cello and Mike McDermott on the bass.

lyrics

A photon and a picture, go meet ‘em at the gate
A megaphone to speak through and a clock running late
Indecisive memory, what a way to show
I might let it go to seed
I might do anything you tell me to

Creature comfort remedy, a miniature escape
In Mexico where we did go, just you between the waves
Follow down the hemisphere you might find the guilty one
And I say, get the job done
I might do anything, I might do anything you tell me to, and I want to
